from my side: a couple of stories, one from the Solent (HR 39''), one from the Mediterranean (Dufour 460), one from Kiel (Najade 390), but the most sudden ones from the lake of Zurich (J/70). Crew reacts well if the skipper is prepared and unstressed. Sails in most cases reduced in time. Weather forecast is sometimes hard to read - since recently I am looking for when the fronts transition (e.g. UK MetOffice). Main points: how to depower quickly, how to depower when you cannot add reefs, what if you cannot take down e.g. the jib because it just doesn't furl? what to watch out for in shallow water? Looking forward to this!
